Course Description

This course provides a biblical, fundamental description of heterosexual marriage and family needs and issues within and outside the church. The course also highlights cultural diversity of families, explores and postulates a paradigm shift that incorporates marriage and family interactions, relationships, and other church ministries expectations.

Dr. Daniel J. Vassell Sr. is committed to help marriages and families grow in the fruit of love that God commanded in Genesis 1:28. Dr. Daniel J. Vassell Sr. is a former high school teacher; youth pastor; district youth director; senior pastor; State Youth Discipleship director; Cross-Cultural Youth/Singles Ministry coordinator in the International Youth and Discipleship Division of the Church of God; World Missions representative; administrative bishop of Ontario, Canada; and today he serves as the Mobilize coordinator in the Church of God Division of Education in Cleveland, Tennessee. Dr. Vassell Sr. served as a member of the Canadian Executive Committee and Council and served as a member of the Church of God International Council of Eighteen. As a graduate of Tyndale Seminary, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Education with a major in Youth and Christian Education, as well as a certificate in Christian Counseling. He also attended the Pentecostal Theological Seminary in Cleveland, Tennessee, where he earned a Master of Arts and a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Counseling.
